Outre les gaz de protection et les gaz inertes pour isoler les processus de l'oxyg\u00e8ne de l'air, il est \u00e9galement possible de r\u00e9guler des liquides purs. Pour cela, il existe soit des appareils combin\u00e9s, soit des appareils s\u00e9par\u00e9s pour la r\u00e9duction de la pression et le maintien de la pression. Des combinaisons de r\u00e9gulateurs sont disponibles pour la surpression, la pression de d\u00f4me, la pression n\u00e9gative et la superposition dynamique de pression. Gr\u00e2ce au comportement de r\u00e9gulation harmonis\u00e9 entre le r\u00e9ducteur et le surd\u00e9tendeur, il est ainsi possible de r\u00e9duire la consommation de gaz de protection jusqu'\u00e0 90%. Les cuves modernes, les centrifugeuses, les r\u00e9servoirs de traitement ou de stockage sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement \u00e9quip\u00e9s de deux r\u00e9gulateurs ZIMMERLI. L'un d'entre eux sert alors de r\u00e9ducteur de pression (injection de gaz inerte) et le second de surpresseur (maintien de la pression). La conception des deux appareils est choisie de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 ce que la vitesse maximale possible de remplissage et de vidange du liquide de processus soit ma\u00eetris\u00e9e en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9, tout en maintenant toujours constante la pression de gaz inerte souhait\u00e9e par rapport \u00e0 l'atmosph\u00e8re. La r\u00e9gulation dynamique de la pression entre -1000 et +2500 mbar s'effectue soit manuellement \u00e0 l'aide de r\u00e9gulateurs pilotes correspondants, soit par commande informatique et, pour la zone Ex, en s\u00e9curit\u00e9 intrins\u00e8que. Selon les exigences, les r\u00e9gulateurs basse pression ZIMMERLI sont disponibles en acier inoxydable 1.4571, en Hastelloy C ou en mati\u00e8re plastique. Il en r\u00e9sulte des possibilit\u00e9s d'application presque illimit\u00e9es en termes de stabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 long terme et de r\u00e9sistance chimique. Les applications sont sur des r\u00e9servoirs de stockage, des r\u00e9acteurs, des cuves de processus, des centrifugeuses et des rainures. Outre l'azote, les m\u00eames r\u00e9gulateurs peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour d'autres gaz, comme le gaz naturel, le m\u00e9thane, le biogaz, l'hydrog\u00e8ne ou les liquides purs. Tous les r\u00e9gulateurs en m\u00e9tal sont disponibles en alternative avec l'homologation ATEX.
