Oxygen-free filling: Highest product quality thanks to inertisation without auxiliary energy
Protection from atmospheric oxygen is crucial for preserving product quality, both when storing and filling bulk goods. Oxygen can lead to oxidation processes that have a negative impact on the quality and properties of the bulk material. Inertisation with nitrogen offers a reliable solution to prevent these undesirable processes and ensure product quality throughout the entire process.
Inertisation: step by step to safe filling
1. fumigation of the container Before filling, the container is gassed with an inert gas to completely displace the oxygen in the air.
2. Moulding the inner bag The inert gas inflates the inner bag and preforms it at the same time. This allows any damage to be recognised before filling.
3. filling under inert atmosphere During filling, the container is pressurised with approx. 5 mbar nitrogen. This keeps the atmosphere inert and reliably protects the product from oxidation.
Precise pressure control with high-quality components
We at ZIMMERLI MESSTECHNIK AG, your Swiss specialist for pressure measurement technology without auxiliary energy, offer a comprehensive range of pressure regulators for the inertisation of bulk solids containers. These are characterised by the following features:
- Precise pressure control Enables optimum control of the inertisation process and prevents damage to the container.
- Plages de pression élevées A pressure of up to 2,000 mbar is possible to mould even thick-walled inner bags reliably.
- Vacuum resistance Robust construction made of stainless steel, nickel alloy or PVDF ensures reliable operation even under vacuum.
- ATEX conformity ATEX certification for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Advantages of inertisation: Safety and efficiency for your filling systems
Inertisation with an inert gas offers numerous advantages for filling bulk goods:
- Product protection Prevents oxidation and loss of quality of the bulk material.
- Extended shelf life Allows the product to be stored for longer without compromising on quality.
- Improved security Reduces the risk of explosions and fires.
- Efficient process control Enables a smooth and efficient filling process.
Conclusion : l'inertisation avec ZIMMERLI MESSTECHNIK - pour une qualité et une sécurité maximales
Inertisation with nitrogen is a proven method of protecting bulk goods from atmospheric oxygen and offers numerous advantages for filling processes. Sensor replacement without system shutdown – dead-space-free precision and maximum availability
The ASEPTconnect (MZ2300) inline housing from Labom is perfectly suited for pharmaceutical production facilities, as it has been specifically developed to meet the highest hygiene and sterilization requirements (CIP/SIP). With its standardized aseptic clamp connection according to DIN 11864-3,

When backflow is not an option: True tightness without compromise
In many industrial applications, simple check valves are used. They are cost-effective, robust, and usually reliable – but not always completely tight. Especially with gaseous media, low system pressure, or
