The electromagnetic flowmeters, MID in short, from Rota Yokogawa GmbH & Co. KG, use a measuring method based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. Here, the measuring sensor generates an electrically usable signal from the flow.
The magnetic inductive measuring method is ideally suited for liquids such as water, pulps, pastes, slurries, acids, alkalis, juices and emulsions, with an electrical conductivity of more than 1 / 5 μS/cm. In addition to water and waste water, other contaminated, conductive liquids are also part of the typical field of application. A great advantage of electromagnetic flow measurements is that even media with solid content cannot get stuck in the measuring tube.
